On June 11, I observed Cliff Swallows flying to and from
nests underneath the NCSR 1104 bridge over Brice's Creek.
>From the only place I could get to to look at the bridge, I
couldn't get a good idea as to numbers--too far away.
I wonder if any local birders have been under this bridge by
boat? This is the an area where I observed Cliff Swallows
gathering nesting material in late April-early May.
I also wonder if any local birders--especially ones with boats--
have observed nesting Cliff Swallows at the bridge over the
Neuse River at New Bern. This is the other site where I
observed Cliff Swallows gathering nesting material in
late April-early May. However, at this site, you are not
likely to observe nests on the bridge unless you check by
boat.
