Shorebirds (and others) at Townville, SC

On Tuesday a quick look at the Dobbins Farm ponds at Townville (Anderson
County, SC) produced several migrant shorebirds: Pectoral Sandpiper (2);
Least Sandpiper (10+); Solitary Sandpiper (1); and Semipalmated Sandpiper
(1). Several Grasshopper Sparrows were still singing vigorously in the
pastures. About a week ago there were four Orchard Orioles near the bridge
on Fork School Road, but today we didn't have time to see whether they're
still hanging around. Last year Orchard Orioles in the same area were gone
by early August.
