Joining other recent arrivals at Sassafrass Mountain (Pickens County, SC)
this weekend were: Worm-eating Warbler; Hooded Warbler; and Ovenbird. All
were singing except the Hooded.
For local residents who perhaps have never seen a male Ruddy Duck in full
alternate plumage, there was one (plus a female) at the Furman lake on
Sunday afternoon. It's a spectacular sight. Some Buffleheads remain as
well.
