The following are highlights of the 3 hour Wednesday morning birdwalk at
Charleston County's Caw Caw Park on US highway 17 south in Ravenel, SC led
by Perry Nugent at 8:30 am. A small fee is charged. For more information

April 16, 2003
55 species were seen and/or heard on a nice day. The most interesting were;
1 Common Loon ( fly over in breeding plumage ), 2 Pied-billed Grebes, 4
Anhingas, 2 Ospreys on nest, 1 adult and 2 baby Bald Eagles, 30 Least Terns,
1 Yellow-billed Cuckoo, 1 Ruby-throated Hummingbird, 1 Hairy Woodpecker, 5
Great-crested Flycatchers, 10 Blue-gray Gnatcatchers ( 1 on nest ), 6
White-eyed Vireos ( 1 on nest ), 30 Red-eyed Vireos, 25 Parula Warblers, 25
Yellow-rumped Warblers, 6 Yellow-throated Warblers, 1 Pine Warbler, 4
Prothonotary Warblers, 25 Common Yellowthroats, 6 Orchard Orioles.
