Gray Kingbird

Hi C'birders,
The Gray Kingbird is still at Pawleys Island and was seen by Bob
Maxwell, Ritch Lilly and myself today. Ritch had it about 11AM, I had
it about 12Noon and Bob & Barbara Maxwell had it about 4PM. It is
pretty much staying around the east end of the causeway to Pawleys
Island. It sits on the wires and flies out to get flying insects and
returns to the wires.
To reach this area from Route 17 take the diagonal road in front of the
Food Lion and Exxon Station. Go across the causeway and park in the dirt
shoulder area to the left of the intersection. Stay near your car as
the authorities do not want you to leave your car there. Scan the wires
and you should soon see the bird. Killer looks today.
Of interest Bob while looking for the Kingbird yesterday early
evening had a Whimbrel flyby and a Long-billed Curlew in the marsh but
neither was seen there today.
