Birders,
At lunch today I birded the wastewater facility in the SW corner of Durham
Co., NC and found some noteworthy birds for late May!
1 Semipalmated Plover -- rare here in late May
1 Spotted Sandpiper -- possibly the latest spring record ever for this
area
1 Least Sandpiper -- again, possibly the latest spring record ever for
this area
If only every birding trip yielded surprises like this :-)
