A few years ago, my wife and I were with another birder close to
Tampa,Fla. We saw a Great Blue Heron acting funny,at first thinking it
was tangled in some fishing line. The bird kept lunging forward and kept
being pulled back. To our surprise,it had a very large snapper attached
to one or its legs just above the foot. Mother nature had things under
control,so we moved on,the lady we were with was very upset but there
was nothing we could do.
