I saw my first orchard oriole nest today -- in Dad's yard on Lake Wateree.
Mama-bird was sitting near the top of the nest. An immature male sat nearby.
(I have only seen adult males before, so this was a real treat!) Could the
young male have been a "helper"?
Leah
p.s. Happy Father's Day to all you papa-birds out there!!! ;-)
