Mt. Pisgah

We returned Thursday from 4 days at Mt. Pisgah campground. It rained every
day & was often very foggy.
The most notable observations are of Sharp-shinned Hawks.
We saw one west of Richland Balsam..& at a considerably lower elevation.
We saw another just north of Craggy Gardens picnic area..a male carrying a
Towhee sized prey, flapping furiously to gain elevation. Sharp-shins only
carry prey when they are going to feed the female or young.
We did not see or hear a Black-throated green Warbler, even though we were
at high elevations most of the time.
We did see Black-throated Blue, Blackburnian & Canada..& Crossbills.
