Howdy!
I haven't noticed anyone reporting Brown Creepers lately. On Saturday, Joe 
and I saw one on a walk in our neighborhood on our way to Shelly Lake. Later 
it was fun watching a Belted Kingfisher flying back and forth over the lake, 
chattering, taking a plunge, back up, and circling around to try again. We 
also saw our first White-throated Sparrows this season.
On Sunday we saw 2 Brown Creepers at Falls Lake. The weather and fall colors 
were spectacular. Juncos and Ruby-crowned Kinglets were high up in the pine 
trees. It's nice to see the winter birds again!
There were a flock of 26 Ruddy Ducks at Harris Lake County Park in south 
Raleigh Oct 23rd.
