HI . .
Now that I've become addicted to owl banding, my ears are tuned
(asymmetrically, of course) to reports of Northern Saw-whet Owls in
the Carolinas.
As of 12/10/99 I've netted seven saw-whets and one brown-phase
Eastern Screech-Owl.
The Carolina Raptor Center in Charlotte has one that was picked up in
Raleigh earlier in the month.
A Center staffer also said she had heard of a bat specialist, perhaps
near Albemarle, who had netted several saw-whets. Does anyone know
who this bat person might be and how to contact him/her?
Thanks,
BILL
