Samworth WMA on 2-11




Hi Carolinabirders,
	This morning Samworth W.M.A. in Georgetown, County SC was the spot Gary
Phillips and myself chose to go birding.  Lots of sparrows. It looked like
the personnel there had recently sown grain for their dove shoots and the
sparrows were having a field day (pun intended). 44 species were id'd.
Beautiful day probably got up to 70 degrees.

Great Blue Heron-1
Wood Duck-2
Black Vulture-2
Turkey Vulture-6
Sharp-shinned Hawk-1 Sparrows flew out of a bush followed immediately by
this bird.
Cooper's Hawk-1 A fly over about 20 seconds after the above bird.
Buteo sp 1-distant and I just couldn't get a handle on this one

Ring-billed Gull-6
Mourning Dove-4
Barred Owl-2 calling to each other.  Couldn't find them perched but had
brief in flight views
Red-headed Woodpecker-1 adult near where they bred last year
