Old Hope Valley Farm Road

Hi,
My Dad and I took a brief walk down the power line cut at Old Hope
Valley Farm Road this morning in northern Chatham County, NC. We saw
numerous BLACK VULTURES (not a TV among them, surprisingly enough),
along with an imm. BALD EAGLE. Also present were scads (as defined by
the Josh Rose Standards Bureau) of lustily singing PINE WARBLERS and the
usual woodland residents. Had several singing FIELD SPARROWS and a
frenetically crooning BROWN THRASHER, along with several COMMON
YELLOWTHROATS. It was quite birdy, generally speaking, which made for a
very nice walk, along with the gorgeous weather.

I did see one of the approximately three butterflies I'm willing to
pretend to I can attempt to identify, a TIGER SWALLOWTAIL.

All in all, was a very nice beautiful early Spring morning, I can't wait
for those migrants to get here...
