Texas, local nesters

Hello all,
Just returned from the lower Rio Grande Valley if anyone is planning on being
down that way and needs an update. Lots of goodies around including
Grey-crowned Yellowthroat, Clay Colored Robin and Hook Billed Kite.

On a local note, we returned to a box full of chickadee eggs and a box with
bluebird eggs. Guess its time to go out and pull the cowbird eggs. Someone
mentioned this weekend that the removal of a cowbird egg could statistically
save 36 songbirds! (I do not know the origin of the statistic.)

Best,
