Semipalmated Sandpipers- NCSU

While most of the local shorebirds have moved on to the tundra of the great
north, a few remain. The NCSU dairy pond hosted a spotty and 2 Semipalmated
Sandpipers Sunday morning. The Chapel Hill Bird Club's weekly frequency chart
shows the Semi as rare to absent for the 3rd to 4th week in May.
