Continuing the theme of birds surprisingly choosing artificial,
manicured habitats, a lonely male Bobwhite has been singing all week on
the SAS campus, just off I-40 in Cary. Its call has even proven
forceful enough to easily penetrate my sealed-window fourth-floor
office!
The downside of the story is that this bird is way too nonchalant about
people. I have to wonder if it's really of wild origin.
