Magnolia Warbler

Folks:
Marilyn Westphal, Bob Olthoff and I birded Roan Mountain yesterday.
Around noontime, we heard a Magnolia Warbler singing. After a few moments,
we located a very nice male singing on a dead snag. We observed the bird
for several munutes, and it acted as if on territory. Our efforts to
locate a mate were unsuccessful. When entering the fee area, stay on the
main road. The bird was off to the left side of the road at the
intersection of Garden Road. This is within a hundred or so yards of where
Len reported the bird, earlier in the week.
