"Greg" your e-mail address did not work.
Scotland Neck sod farm is about 2 miles se of town. South on 258, left so.
on 125, left e. on Kehukee Church Road, rt. so. on Stamper Siding Road. Sod
on both sides for a mile. Birds like Bermuda and zoysia, especialy
"scalped" areas; only geese on fescue. Owner welcomes birders, but I ask
you to stay on road (can use pull offs into field, to get off narrow
shoulders), esentially, before you hear directly from one of the Winslows
there.
With permission, stalking the birds to get pictures, etc., seems reasonable,
since the place is so large. Birds that leave probably want to migrate
anyway! (Leavers usually show that attitude, tight flocks and not feeding,
beforehand.) Almost everything is easily identifiable from the road with a
scope, even many peep.
