Tuesday the 22nd of August, 138 Killdeer at (original) Winslow Sod Farm on
Stamper Siding Road, and another 25 on (new sod of) Winslow Sod Farm on
Winslow Farm Road. No other shorebirds, no peep, no pecs.
With the colder weather, and reports of goldenplover and uppie at sodfarms
farther south and west, I might have expected migrants, but, sometimes
migration is not the same thing as seeing birds on the ground.
Probably no more regular reports from this sod farm unless a hurricane comes
through.
