Hi folks,
Just a quick note to let you know what was at the Winslow Sod Farm (Scotland
Neck, NC) this morning in the rain! Not many birds but had the following:
Am. Golden Plover - 6
Killdeer - usual hundreds
Semi Sandpiper - 3
Least Sandpiper - 8
White-rumped Sandpiper - 1
Pectoral Sandpiper - 3
The new 150 acre field here so far has produced only Killdeer. Still it needs
checking regularly too. Also this morning, had many flocks of Rough-winged
Swallows in many various places around Scotland Neck, saw probably 250 total.
Anyone else noticed this species really flocking up like this elsewhere?
Later.
