Buff-Breasted Sandpiper

All,

I saw a Buff-breasted Sandpiper in a freshwater puddle across the road
from parking lot at the Fort Fisher Bathhouse and Federal Point Beach
Access on Saturday, 9/4. I watched it bathe in the puddle at a range of
about 50 feet for about 10 minutes. Several other shorebirds were using
the same puddle, including Killdeer, Sanderlings, and Least Sandpipers.
Three White Ibis also flew into the puddle while I was there.
