Two days ago, I saw a (or the) Ruddy Turnstone in the parking lot at
Morehead Plaza in Morehead City. It was busily feeding with starlings on
the pavement next to a dumpster.
I've heard from a couple of people that they have seen Ruddy Turnstone
feeding in oceanfront parking lots (especially at fishing piers), but I
haven't heard from anyone who has had this species feeding at an "inland"
parking lot (other than during a hurricane or very severe weather).
