Albino Canada Goose?

Yeah, yeah, I can hear your hoots and guffaws even before I start this, but
here goes anyway. While birding last weekend with my brother (a long time - 30
years - avid birder who was visiting from Michigan) we saw a flock of about 50
Canada Geese fly over our heads and among them was one white goose - no black
wing tips and exactly the same size and shape as the other geese. It had a
slight buffy tinge on its belly and on its tail. I know Canadas aren't too
picky about who they breed with, but it didn't have any of the characteristics
of any other kind of goose. Anyway, it probably was some kind of hybrid, but
it might also have been an albino. If you see a flock with a white goose in
its midst, check it out. Marilyn Westphal/Hendersonville, NC (southern NC
