Hey there,
the late Joshua Stuart Rose and I went on a quick birding sortie to Jordan
Lake this morning to check on the presence of a number of goodies that have
been reported from there in the last few days.
While we did not get to see the reported Eared Grebe and Great Cormorant,
we did see a flock of
10 Horned Grebe
and what we believe to be the Triangle's first
Bonaparte's Gulls (2) and
Common Loons (2)
this winter (all of them from Ebenezer Point).
Other notable birds include an
American Pipit
along the beach at Ebenezer and a
Ruddy Duck
at the Marina.
