Of course, I am not always to be found at Beaver Lake.....
After working away another day at the H'ville K-Mart, I decided to walk the
"Warbler Trail" at Jackson Park. Only notable sighting was a male Summer
Tanager who I at first thought was a Cardinal. Upon looking through the
binos, it was all red. First I have ever seen in WNC. (All others were in
south GA.)
Anyone else seen Summer Tanagers here, and have they bred in WNC?
All I have ever seen are Scarlets (Mars Hill and Lake Lure).
