I am planning a sudden birding trip to S Carolina mostly to get the
Swallow Tailed Kite. I know aboutt the Santee delta, where US 17 crosses
over the Santee River. But I am writing to find out if any local people
might be able to direct me to any other nearby locations with Swallow
Tailed and Bachmans'Sparrow populations. A few months ago Van Atkins had
mentioned some sort of a "plantation" out in that neck of the woods. I
have lost the directions to this and don't even have the name now. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
