Hilton Pond 05/01/01 (Blue-eyed Grass)

HI . . .

As far as bird banding is concerned, the first week in May was the
most diverse in a long while at Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont
Natural History: 24 different species were captured, banded, and
released. There are photos of several of them on the Center's Web
site.

There's also a photo essay that explains why Blue-eyed Grass is a
mis-named wildflower. Just go to http://www.hiltonpond.org , click on
the logo for "This Week at Hilton Pond," and select the week of 1-7
May 2001.
