Took 30 mins.this am. to find UNC owlet in a clump of leaves being fed a
morsel by mom. From there went to Little Crk.Impdmt and had a very
accomodating adult YC Night Heron fly in just as I arrived; later joined by
a second one(I take off work on Weds. to bird -- it's a rough schedule but
someone's gotta do it...)
Someone(I forget who) mentioned going to Brickhouse to listen for
ChuckWillsW. -- a possible closer locale for Durhamites is Southern High
School where Jonathan Steere hears them at daybreak and after dusk at far
end of football field (if someone needs more explicit directions email me
and I’ll pass along Jonathan’s ph. no.)
