The Sunset Lakes Purple Gallinule was seen Saturday afternoon around 4:45.
The bird was in the weeds off the end of the dock. As Mary mentioned he is
rather shy so if not seemingly present back up into the yard and watch for
the little red, yellow, and blue face to poke up from the weeds. Thirty
plus Wood Storks were in the usual place at high tide.
Four (assumably non-countable) Mute Swans took up residence at West Lake
Pond in Wake County late last week and are still present.
Have a great week!
