Over the last week or so we have been seeing several Eurasian Collared-Doves
in the city of Claremont. Last weekend we saw 2 at the intersection of
Lookout St. and Centennial Blvd. and this morning we had a very good look at
one near Main St. at the BB&T. These are the first ECD's we've seen in
Claremont in about a year. The ECD's in Conover are expanding even more
now. The can be seen just about anywhere on Rock Barn Rd. on either side of
I-40. They seem to be expanding into more rural areas near corn and wheat
fields.
