Hi folks
Was able to sneak away for a few minutes and went to check out the Winslow
sod (Scotland Neck area) this morning. Not a lot of birds, but did have 1 Am.
Golden-Plover and 3 Buff-breasted Sandpipers in with about 30 Pectorals. Neat
birds as always. They were in the field that is the first on the left as you
head south on Stamper Siding. Passerine migrants were noticeable with good
flocks of Baltimore Orioles moving through, several Veeries in the woods, and
had the first Rose-br. Grosbeak of the fall. Warblers were few. Also had 2
Savannah Sparrows, the first for the fall. Later, Ricky
