Evergreen Woods in east Charlotte surprised us again.
We had a flock of 7 brown-headed nuthatches in one tree (Hi Will :)
And the biggest surprise was a young GREY FOX that had climbed up into
a tangle of grape vines to view the world, the first fox we have seen live in
Evergreen Woods.
Other mentionables were
Magnolia Warbler
Baltimore Oriole
Common Yellowthroat
White-eyed Virio
Worm-eating Warbler
Ovenbird (with only one eye)
Summer Tanager
Red-breasted Grosbeak
a bizillion Chimney Swifts
and two RT Hummingbirds
