The monthly bird walk at Beaver Lake Bird Sanctuary turned up a
Philadelphia Vireo today. It was with a small flock of warblers at the
beginning of the older section of boardwalk.
Warblers seen were Palm and Yellow-rumped (along the lake), plus Tennessee,
Magnolia, Bay-breasted and American Redstart. A flock of 200-300 Chimney
Swifts swirled high over the lake. Winds, mist, and clouds complicated our
bird quest.
The walks are sponsored by Elisha Mitchell Audubon.
