For the record, Scott Stegenga (naturalist at Table Rock State Park
in Pickens County, SC) reports an apparent immature male Rufous
Hummingbird that was at his feeder on 18-19 October 2001. The bird
has not been seen since.
Two hazy digital photos of the bird show a distinct rufous tail and
what looks like a light wash of rufous elsewhere on the back.
