Spent a couple of hours at the old coast guard station this morning. Lots
of Yellow-rumps, Palms, Robins, Waxwings, etc. Best birds were a late
Clay-colored Sparrow, 1-2 White-crowned Sparrows, 2 Pine Siskins, some
Goldfinches, and a late BG Gnatcatcher.
Back in the Elizabethan Gardens it is definitely winter with
Orange -crowned Warblers (2), Kinglets, White-throated Sparrows and the
like. We still have a hummer or two hanging around as well as a female
Black-throated Blue Warbler that just can't leave those Aralia berries.
