My morning walk revealed a Sharp-shinned Hawk cruising our Lake Norman
neighborhood near noon today. Also, Most of the vultures seen cruising this
morning have been of the less common Black variety, with only a few of the
much more common Turkey Vultures in eveidence. Wind conditions? Cloud
Cover? Temperature? Season? The present drought? Your guess is as good
as mine.
