Yesterday I stopped by a bird supply store in Greenville (NC) and noticed what I thought was a bit unusual on their list
of December sightings. Along with all the usual suspects, there was a Rose-breasted Grosbeak. Since I'd never heard of
these so late, I asked the clerk, who checked with the manager. The report back was that they had indeed seen one, that
it was a late sighting, and they thought it was due to the lingering warm weather. I didn't ask anymore questions, but
I'm still wondering. Would this in fact be a little unusual?
