Western Kingbirds on Roanoke Island

Hi folks:
Only saw one Western Kingbird yesterday morning, they seem to be getting
harder and harder to find. This one was up in a pine back in the woods
directly in front of the Elizabethan Gardens. The problem may be that the
dogwoods are now almost totally stripped of that precious fruit that the
kingbirds were feeding on. The huge bluebird flocks (close to a hundred
sometimes!) not to mention robins, starlings, woodpeckers, juncos, Pine
Warblers, Cedar Waxwings, etc have really taken their toll on the food
supply in the immediate area.
