Folks,
This AM the Henderson County Bird Club led by Simon Thompson had a
walk on Hooper Lane. Birds of note were: 200+ American Pipits 12-15
LAPLAND LONGSPURS 1 LINCOLN'S SPARROW
1 VERY LATE BAIRD'S SANDPIPER spotted by Les Sauscier. The Baird's was a
juvenile who walked with a significient limp. It appeared to feed and fly
with no problems. My previous late date for this species in Henderson
County was Sept. 23. I was able to obtain very good video of this bird. On
the way home, I had 4 Greater Yellowlegs on the pond in front of the water
treatment plant on #191.
Regards,
Wayne
