Dear Carolina Birders,
Haven't seen many postings lately. I hope most of you NC birders are plugged
back in. Terrible about all the power outages. I live more than an hour
south of Charlotte and was without power from 5 am Thurs to 11 am this
morning. (Living in the country means you are a low priority to the power
company.) Although I couldn't keep the birdbath ice-free, I made a big batch
of peanutbutter crumble for the feeders. Along with the usual finches,
titmice, chickadees, and wrens, I've had phoebes and pine warblers dining at
my feeders.
Take care and stay warm!
Leah
