Carolina Birders:
My wife, Lynn, pointed out an unusual junco on our platform feeder in
Greensboro, NC, this afternoon. It was a female-plumaged Dark-eyed Junco with
a white half-collar on the back of its neck, approximately where the black
collar on a Eurasion Collared Dove is located. It didn't appear to be
partially albinistic, and there was nothing else unusual about its appearance
or behavior.
