Hilton Pond 02/15/03 (Vultures)

The current photo essay under "This Week at Hilton Pond" deals with vultures--birds that are sometimes held in disdain by folks who don't appreciate the important work these birds do in ridding the world of roadkills. To read about our native Black Vultures and Turkey Vultures, just click on http://www.hiltonpond.org/ThisWeek030215.html for the week of 15-21 February 2003.

As always there's a tally of birds banded during the week at Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History--as well as a nice assortment of "old" birds that were recaptured during last weekend's sleet storm.

Happy nature watching,
