Henderson county birds

Thanks to the guys from SC that found my ID at Van Wingarden. They gave it
to Wayne Forsythe. I caught up with Wayne in the middle of a farm field in
Hendersonville near Hoopers lane. The timing was good as there were 15
Pectoral Sandpipers and 2 Greater Yellow Legs in a giant puddle on the back
side of the field. I then scooted back over to try to see the Nelson's on
the way out and finaly got a good look at it. Took seven tries over two
weeks but it was worth it. Thanks to John Smith for spotting it.

Wayne was telling me the owner of Van Wingarden was having some dificulty
with the number of birders in his lot. If you go there and there's already
2 or more birders its probably best to go bird for a while at Hooper Lane
and come back later. Wayne calmed the owner down and if we keep our
numbers low he shouldn't have any further heartburn over our visits. I sure
don't want to loose the best spot for finding snipe in the area. Besides I
think with a lot of birders beating the bushes the Nelson's going to go to
cover and no one will see him.
