On Saturday, I spent about 2 hours on Triple Ess Pier, watching the
ocean. About 10:30am - 12:30pm.
Steady stream of northbound migrants.
Had about 5000 Bonaparte's Gulls, about 85% of these were adults. One
adult Little Gull, which was a lifer for Jim and Laura O'Donnell.
About 250 scoters, all of which were Blacks. Did not see even one Surf
Scoter. Had 3 Blue-winged Teal in the scoter flocks. Also several
scaup.
Had 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull flying up the coast, and 1 Razorbill on
the water, drifting westward. It was only about 100 yards off the end
of the pier.
