report from CBC Colorado trip

Birders,

The motley CBC crew (Jill, Rob, Brad, Derb, Steve, et. al.) in Colorado
just called to relay Easter Greetings to everyone on Carolinabirds.
They're having a very successful trip and were watching rosy-finches and
Pine Grosbeak while chatting on the phone.

Because of heavy snows, they had been unable to reach Guanella Pass for
ptarmigan. However, they ran into a person from Winston Salem that they
would like to thank profusely for sharing the information the ptarmigan
could be easily seen from Loveland Pass right at the Continental Divide.
So within 5 minutes of arriving there, they were enjoying views of several
ptarmigan, including a couple that were only a few meters away clucking
and posing for photos. (Isn't that special.)

Happy Easter everybody!

Jeff
