In recent mornings, I've had Black-billed Cuckoos at three different
sites in the Croatan National Forest. Perhaps all were migrants.
However, one was at the exact same site where a bird was seen last June.
This was yesterday, Tuesday, on Little Road, 1.2 miles south of Catfish
Lake Road.
By the way, this might be a good year to look for this species in
Alligator River NWR/Dare County Bombing Range (although I understand
that most of the roads in the bombing range are closed nowdays).
