Theodore Roosevelt NP-North Unit

Here's a tidbit on another location for those of you considering a Great Plains visit. Went there yesterday in search of three species to add to the life list and found two of them (Lark Sparrow and Lazuli Bunting...missed the Rock Wren). Mountain bluebirds, Black-billed Magpie, Golden Eagles, and Sharp-tailed Grouse are other species of note within the park. Other park attractions include the bison herd and prairie dog towns. The 'dogs are especially entertaining.

This is one of those locations that offers motel accommodations within a reasonable drive (15 miles). Camping is available both within and just outside of the park.
