Hilton Pond 10/08/03 (Pollinators)

This week we were at a meeting of the North American Pollinator Protection Campaign and were inspired to dedicate the current installment of "This Week at Hilton Pond" to a discussion of Piedmont pollinators, from bees to hummingbirds.

To view the pollination photo essay for the week of 8-14 October 2003, please visit the Web site for Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History, specifically at http://www.hiltonpond.org/ThisWeek031008.html

As always there's a list of all birds banded during the period, plus a mug shot of the first Yellow-rumped Warbler of the fall season.

Happy Nature Watching!
