Lark Sparrow+Wh. Pelicans-Folly Beach, SC

This morning David Abbott, Mimi Dias and I birded the north end of Folly Beach. There were 11 White Pelicans on the sandbar to the left of the Morris Island lighthouse at the north end of Folly Beach, SC. The pelicans were there about 1.5 hours after low tide. Later in the morning we saw two more flying over the Folly Road causeway on outer James Island, SC.

I figured I would report them, even though White Pelicans are getting sort of "ho-hum" in Charleston and Colleton counties.

There were a few migrants at the old coast guard station at Folly Beach:
- LARK SPARROW (dune scrub on the right almost to lighthouse inlet)
- Magnolia Warbler
- Ovenbird
- Black-throated Blue Warbler
- Am. Redstarts
- Prairie Warbler
- Palm Warblers (lots)
- N. Parulas
- Myrtle Warblers
- Common Yellowthroats
- Painted & Indigo Buntings
- Lots of Catbirds

The Lark Sparrow was my 300th bird species seen in SC this year.
