Double-crested Cormorants - at least that's what they were yesterday morning
when I too did a double take and made a U-turn to check them out. I found
almost nothing else on the water at Ebenezer, Poplar Pt. or Farrington
bridge.

This morning on my way in to work I noticed a large concentration of
birds (approx 3,000 or so) on the east side of jordan lake where 751
crosses it just south of I-40.
It was hard for me to tell species, but looked like cormorants, gulls,
maybe coots, ducks, and who knows what else. I just did not have the
time or equipment to take a good luck. But if anyone does, it should be
quite a sight.
Let us know what you find.
